Inspired by classic 1940s and 1950s pickups, the new FTX TEXAN blends an old-school retro look with current RC scaler frames. At first you will be drawn to the classic cabin body which features a scaled exhaust pipe an external air filter a molded wiper mirror grille and a molded rear flatbed roll cage with spare wheel we have also included two different decals for the rear box floor choose a wooden panel or a checkerplate finish!
The body is not equipped with clips or struts but with a magnetic fixing in the front and hinged in the back for a more faithful scale appearance and quick and easy access to the frame. Under the Texan it features low profile cantilevered "reclining" shock absorbers to provide the platform for a flat floor rear assembly.
The molded internal wheel arch trim and side floors add further realism to scale along with the beadlock wheels and dust cover.
CNC aluminum shock absorbers are standard front and rear as are dual adjustable front springs.
With the battery pack mounted further forward and the Etronix 15kg motor and servo positioned directly on the front axle the advanced weight distribution allows for significantly improved climbing ability.The separate center drive design allows for a low center of gravity which can help adapt to the interior while the updated drivetrain design now rotates the front and rear axles clockwise and counterclockwise to help reduce the effects of torque twist.The TEXAN promises to take your off-road adventures to the next level with so many standard features.
